Personal Details
Dr. Abdul Majid Ismail is a senior lecturer at the School of HBP. He graduated with a B.Sc. Hons. (Housing, Building and Planning) from Universiti Sains Malaysia (1979); B. Arch from University of Queensland, Australia (1981) and Ph.D (Architecture) from University of Wales, UK (1996). He started his service at USM in Dec. 1981, seconded as an Architect with Penang City Council in 1985 to 1987. He specialised in Environmental Design and Tropical Architecture especially in Natural Ventilation, Architectural Aerodynamics and Solar Shading of High-Rise Buildings. He was appointed as Deputy Dean of the School of HBP in April 1998, and as a Dean of HBP on 26 March 2001.
