Prior to joining USM, he has worked in a few public-listed companies and a non-profit organization mainly in the fields of corporate planning, research and development, and training.  His area of specialization is in ecotourism and nature tourism, but his research interest covers a wider area such as in tourism planning and development, alternative tourism, border and regional tourism, and community participation in tourism.
