Urban and Regional Planning Undergraduate Programme is a professional programme, accredited by the Board of Town Planners Malaysia and Malaysian Qualification Agency. This 4- year programme aim to produce knowledgable graduates with a focus on transdisciplinary approach and technical proficiency which empowering them to tackle challenges in the field of urban and regional planning using sustainable approaches and a global perspective.

Subjects offered in this Programme cover theories, and technical and practical aspects related to physical, social, economic and environmental planning. The curriculum includes planning studios, lectures, academic visits, industrial training, research project, case studies, collaborative learning and stakeholder engagement. Urban and Regional Planning undergraduate programme at USM prepares the future talents and skills to meet the industry requirements especially in ethical practice, planning laws and regulations, technical department requirements, feasibility and market study, and development plans at federal, state and local levels.

CAREER PROSPECTS

Professional degree recognised by the Malaysian Institute of Planners (MIP) and Lembaga Perancang Bandar Malaysia (LPBM). There are wide career opportunities in the field of Urban and Regional Planning, graduates can either opt to work in private firms or government agencies as
