ID final year students showcased studio works, which they have worked on since Semester 1 2014/15. The theme of the exhibition was Right Brain, inspired by the concept of lateralization of brain function developed from research in the late 1960s by the American Nobel Prize psychobiologist Roger W. Sperry. He discovered that the human brain has two very different ways of thinking. The left brain is verbal and processes information in an analytical and sequential way. The right brain is nonverbal and intuitive, looking first at the whole picture then the details. The best illustration of this theme is art—enhanced right brain for imagination and creativity purposes!
