Dr. Rodzi received his BSc and MSc in 1994 and 1995 respectively. He worked as an assistant engineer before pursuing his PhD study in 1996. 

He joined USM as a lecturer in Building Technology Programme at the School of Housing, Building and Planning in July 2000. His area of interests are indoor environment, energy efficiency in buildings and fire safety and security.

In addition, he held several administrative posts from March 2003 until Dec 2016 as follows:
